The Thickety, by J. A. White
I enjoyed so many things about this book. The voice, the world, the action, the characters–it’s just so well written. White is a very talented writer, and that’s most evident to me in the characters he’s created. They are all believable, the good ones and bad, and they make smart, sometimes difficult decisions. The plot is tight, intense, and sometimes scary, and White never gives readers any reason to question her storytelling choices–everything that happens in this book is there for a reasons.
Please read this book. You won’t regret it.
